Adventure Elopement Photographers

Nowadays, an elopement is a pretty broad term for almost any kind of non-traditional, smaller wedding with an intentional focus on your and your experience. Gone are the days of running away in secret to Vegas on a whim (though that option is certainly still on the table). Elopements can be anything from the two of you exploring your favorite place with your photographer to sharing a new destination wedding experience with your closest friends and family.

To us, a wedding has a more traditional structure to the day like the ceremony, cocktail hour, family photos, reception, etc that would require a dedicated planner/day of coordinator. On the other hand, an elopement or intimate wedding is a smaller affair that's focused on the couple and their experience. Whatever you'd like to call it, for these small weddings, we'll be your planning resource! Basically for us, elopements = we are your planners; weddings = we are not your planners.

Absolutely! We'll say it over and over again, you can do whatever you want for your elopement! If your wedding just doesn't make sense without your loved ones around you, then they should be there!

Anywhere you want! We have extensive experience and specialize in planning and documenting adventure elopements in Utah and Colorado. But we also have extensive experience researching, location scouting, and working in places we've never been before! Is there a special National Park or one you’ve always wanted to visit? This depends on a lot of different factors, primarily: 1) where you are eloping, what kind of weather you’d like, and what kinds of things you’d like to do! We’ll help you take all of this into account so you can pick the perfect date for your elopement!

Whatever you want! While many of couples opt to wear traditional wedding attire or a riff on traditional attire, you can use your outfits to reflect who you are! Wear a green dress, rock that kilt, wear your Chacos, or mix it up and change half way through!

If you want it to be! (Check out our little blurb about how we define elopements for more on this.) Some of our couples decided to keep it secret until their photos were all done for that dramatic reveal, while others let everyone know ahead of time!

Our packages start at 4 hours of coverage, which is typically enough time for a ceremony and a portrait location with some short travel in between, or one epic elopement location that's a little harder to get to! Our most popular package includes all-day coverage so we can maximize your elopement experience. Take advantage of both sunrise and sunset, tell the whole story starting at getting ready to dancing under the stars, and include some unique experiences along the way! Every elopement is different and it really will depend on the kind of experiences you want to include. Generally, elopements will cost less than a traditional wedding since many of the larger costs aren't a factor (like a venue, wedding planner, plated dinner, etc.) We're definitely a little biased, but we definitely recommend prioritizing your elopement photographer in your budget. If we have the availability, we can plan an elopement in 1 or 2 weeks if we have to (like this one)! But we typically prefer 6+ months in advance. Our schedule tends to book up 6 - 9 months out!
